VCO
Ideal VCO set-up without TTY
Allows you to use one piece of equipment to talk and read your
conversations
You can keep the handset up throughout the conversation, as in
a traditional voice call

Follow these steps to place your VCO call with Dialogue VCO:
1. Pick up the Dialogue VCO handset.
2. Press the RELAY # on the Dialogue VCO keypad.
3. Wait for the CA to answer, then press the REL MSG on the Dialogue VCO
keypad.
4. When you see [VCO ON] on the display, tell the CA by voice the number
you want to call.
5. The CA dails the number of the person you are calling for you.
6. When the person answers, the CA types the person's greeting so that you
can read it on your Dialogue VCO display screen.
7. When you see GA (Go Ahead), you can begin speaking directly to the person
and read the replies the CA types on your Dialogue VCO display.

Combination telephone and TTY
Allows you to use one piece of equipment to talk and read your

You can keep the handset up throughout the conversation, as in

Follow these steps to place your VCO call with Uniphone 1100/1140:
1. Dial the TRS number on the Uniphone 1100 keypad or press memory-dial
on the Uniphone 1140.
2. Wait for the CA to answer, then type VCO PLS GA (or press the VCO Msg
key on Uniphone 1140).
3. Pick up the Uniphone handset.
4. When you see [VCO ON] on the display, tell the CA by voice the number
you want to call.
5. The CA dails the number of the person you are calling for you.
6. When the person answers, the CA types the person's greeting so that you
can read it on your Uniphone display screen.
7. When you see GA (Go Ahead), you can begin speaking directly to the person
and read the replies the CA types on your Uniphone display.

Pro, Miniprint 425, Supercom 4400, Superprint 4425, Dialogue II/IIP,
or Dialogue III/IIIP
Telephone and direct-connect TTY can be plugged into the same
phone line by using a duplex jack

May experience volume loss by the person you are talking wtih
due to having two devices on the phone line

Follow these steps to place your VCO call with Direct Connect TTY & Telephone:
1. Dial the TRS number on the keypad or press memory-dial on the TTY.
2. Wait for the CA to answer, then type VCO PLS GA or press the VCO Msg
key on.
3. Pick up the telephone handset.
4. When you see [VCO ON] on the display, tell the CA by voice the number
you want to call.
5. The CA dails the number of the person you are calling for you.
6. When the person answers, the CA types the person's greeting so that you
can read it on your TTY display screen.
7. When you see GA (Go Ahead), you can begin speaking directly to the person
and read the replies the CA types on your TTY display.

Using a telephone and an acoustic-only TTY
Telephone handset must be placed in TTY's acoustic cups to receive
text conversation
Telephone hanset must be picked up to speak your message each
time and then placed back on the acoustic cups
Using two devices to talk and read your conversation

Follow these steps to place your VCO call with Acoustic TTY & Telephone:
1. Place the telephone handset in the TTY's acoustic cups and turn on the
TTY.
2. Dial the TRS number on the telephone keypad.
3. Wait for the CA to answer and then type VCO PLS GA on the TTY keyboard.
4. When you see [VCO ON] on your TTY display, pick up the telephone handset
to speak.
5. Tell the CA by voice the number you want to call.
6. Put the telephone handset back on the TTY's acoustic cups to receive
the typed response.
7. Continue picking up the telephone handset each time you want to talk,
and putting it back into TTY's acoustic cups to receive the replies.
