The ADCO Hearing Products is staffed by caring professionals who are trained and knowledgeable in assistive products and services.

The mission of the company is to provide individuals, businesses and agencies with a comprehensive range of communication products and services so that persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing can communicate freely and effectively without barriers.

The formation of ADCO Hearing Products came about in 1991 in response to the growing need for knowledge of assistive technology that "goes beyond the hearing aid." When visiting our showroom, consumers have the opportunity to learn about, and try new products before making a purchasing decision.

All products have been carefully selected to assure performance and quality. A variety of products from different manufacturers are represented to insure complete selection.

RESOURCES
Books, literature, brochures and information on hearing loss and deafness provide valuable resources for professionals, interpreters, parents, adolescents, children, or a loved one.

The children's section of the bookstore features sign language books, videotapes, coloring books, flashcards, and games.

Videotapes, instructional guides and wookbooks provide information for any who is currently learning or wishes to learn sign language or speech/lip reading. Videotapes are also available for rent.

TTY/TDDs - "TEXT TELEPHONES"
Communication for hearing and speech-impaired persons is now as easy as dialing the phone and typing a text conversation with the use of a TTY.

ALERTING SYSTEMS
Visual or vibrating systems provide signals to alert for door, phone, fire, baby, wake-up alarm, and medication.

CLOSED CAPTIONED DECODERS
Closed captioning is a free service of the television industry, a decoder makes it possible to read what is being said. Closed captioning also provides in home learning for students and children and is an ideal way to learn the English language or to improve reading skills.

AMPLIFIED TELEPHONES AND RINGERS
Hear conversation clearly with improved CLARITY and amplification with telephones that have built-in volume and frequency adjustments, or make an existing telephone louder by adding an auxiliary amplifier or replacement handset.

PERSONAL AND TV LISTENING SYSTEMS

Information is available on local public facilities that have assistive listening systems.

Sophisticated sound conditioners or white noise provide a peaceful solution for tinnitus - ringing, buzzing in the ears.

White noise is also used to mask street noise, TV, snoring spouse, conversation and dormitory noise to provide uninterrupted study or sleep. Professionals can mask conversations to ensure confidentiality or help relax patients.

STETHOSCOPES
Powerful, electronic stethoscopes provide amplification for medical personnel who need to hear the sound of body functions amplified.

ADA COMPLIANCE
Pay phone TTYs, other ADA compliance products, and kits are available for hotels, businesses, and public facilities to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
